Description - Add description
Two shells with diameters of 72 and 24 µm. Outer shell 5 µm thick, bumpy, sometimes slightly elongated along polar axis. Two unequal, conical polar spines usually arrow-shaped. Pores circular, of equal size, diameters 2-4µm, closely packed, polygonally framed, 3-6µm between pore centers. Pores of inner shell hexagonal, of equal size.
Distinguishing features:
Two small shells with spherical inner shell and slightly elongated outer shell with bumpy surface. Two unequal, conical polar spines. Differs from Druppatractus nanus by its conical spines, bumpy texture, and thinner outer shell and from Ellipsostylus salebrosus by possessing two shells. | | Blueford 1982 |
