Acrosphaera spinosa fasciculopora Caulet, 1986

Description - Add description

Acrosphaera spinosa with 10-15 spines, strong, long, arising from a cluster of pores that are larger than the irregular small pores of the shell and that form small protuberances on the shell surface.
Dimensions:
shell diameter, 80-100µm; Spine length, 30-100µm.
Remarks:
This subspecies is closely related to the A. echinoides group but its external spines are less numerous, longer, and arise from a very typical cluster of larger pores. Its stratigraphic range is narrower, and the last occurence seems to be a very good event.
