Figs. 1-3. Carposphaera angulata forma pectinata (figs. 1, 2) and forma juniperum (fig. 3) Fig. la: complete shell, with medullary shell in normal, centric position (cp. fig. 2) and numerous rods connecting micro- and macrosphere. Differing degrees of dissolution are to be found at the base of the spine (cp lb and 2b); in later stages, the layered structure of the shell becomes clear (figs. 2b and 3b). Note the excentric position of the microsphere in fig. 2a, presumably due to damage. BSS 28B(IX/1209, 1268 and 1184).
